USA Today ran an interesting article taking about Taylor Swift and how she would be the perfect choice for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
USA Today said,”She has to be the choice. She needs to be the choice”. The backed up their claim with these 4 points:
1) She has at least three songs that are recognizable to every American
2) She can give the Super Bowl street cred by bringing out Kendrick Lamar for his guest spot on the ‘Bad Blood’ remix
3) She can start off slowly with one of her pre-pop ballads, then bring down the house with ‘Shake It Off’ and
4) Everyone, from my 18-month-old daughter to my 91-year-old uncle, can find something to enjoy.”
Sounds like a nice article in support for Taylor, but then they slammed Carrie Underwood. The article predicted the NFL would screw up the entertainment choice and pick someone like “Carrie Underwood”. Their reasoning? “The NFL likes safe and safe is what they’ll get with Carrie Underwood — a performer the whole family can agree upon”
